Genkyudo Terms & Conditions for Fortune Telling Services
1. Service Booking Process
1.1 To book a reading, please fill in our booking enquiry form with your query, email address, service type, and at least five preferred timeslots between 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (NZT) within the next 7-60 days. Please refer to our service details above “Our Offering” for time durations.
1.2 Upon receiving your request, we will cross-check with Genkyu Sensei’s schedule and confirm the best available time. If a clash occurs, we may request additional timeslots.
1.3 A pre-booking email with the finalized fee and payment instructions will be sent to you. Payments must be made within 72 hours to secure your booking. Failure to do so will result in the release of your reserved slot. Sharing a screenshot of your payment confirmation is recommended to expedite the process.
1.4 Reservations are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon receiving and confirming your payment, you will receive a confirmation email with a verification code and further instructions.
2. Email and Video Readings
2.1 For email readings, Genkyu Sensei will provide a detailed response within 3-5 working days.
2.2 For video readings, sessions will be conducted via Google Meet or Whatsapp, with a certified interpreter present to facilitate communication.
2.3 If using a Genkyudo Gift Voucher, please include your 8-digit voucher code while filling in the enquiry form. Each code is single-use, and confirmation will be sent to the registered user email before proceeding.
3. Appointment Policies
3.1 All bookings must be made 7 to 60 days in advance. Same-day bookings are not available. For urgent readings, please email sensei@genkyudo.com for special arrangements (adhoc rates will apply).
3.2 Appointments are available Monday to Friday, from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm NZT. Blackout dates apply for major holidays and when Sensei is unavailable. Please refer to our availability calendar in the enquiry form for details.
3.3 All appointments are subject to availability. We highly recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred date and time.
4. Rescheduling & Cancellations
4.1 If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance via email. This ensures we can reallocate your slot to another client.
4.2 For cancellations or rescheduling requests made 24-48 hours prior to your appointment, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
4.3 Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
5. Payment & Refund Policy
5.1 All services must be pre-paid. Once your payment is confirmed, your booking is secured. We use a secured Stripe payment gateway for payment processing.
5.2 All sales are final. Please ensure you are fully committed to your purchase before making a payment. Due to the highly specialized nature of our services, refunds are not available once the reading process has started.
5.3 The fees you pay cover the calculation, analysis, and interpretation performed by Genkyu Sensei. While we guarantee professional and accurate readings based on traditional Bazi and Qimen Dunjia methods, please understand that these are interpretations and not certainties.
5.4 We are unable to issue refunds if you change your mind, if your circumstances change, or if the reading is not desired by the recipient.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
6.1 Genkyudo’s services are provided for personal insight and entertainment purposes only. We do not provide legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice. Please consult a licensed professional for such matters.
6.2 By purchasing a reading, you acknowledge that the predictions and insights provided are subject to interpretation and are not guaranteed outcomes.
6.3 Genkyudo shall not be liable for any damages and/or losses, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, or consequential damages/losses, arising from the use of our services.
7. Privacy & Confidentiality
7.1 All personal information, including your birth details and questions, will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be shared with third parties, except as required by law.
7.2 For video readings, all sessions will be conducted privately with a certified interpreter solely for communication purposes. The video reading will not be recorded.
8. Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions
8.1 Gift vouchers are valid for one-time use only. Please safeguard your voucher code, as we assume that only the intended recipient will have access to it.
8.2 Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Unused vouchers will not be refunded or attributed to any transactions after the expiry date.
8.3 Vouchers can only be redeemed for the specific services purchased. Additional services beyond the scope of the voucher will incur extra charges.
8.4 The voucher code must be entered in the booking enquiry form at the time of booking. All bookings are subject to availability and must adhere to our standard service terms above. It is recommended to book well in advance to secure your desired date and time.
8.5 Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. They hold no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances.
8.6 If unauthorized use of a voucher is suspected, Genkyudo reserves the right to cancel the booking. In such cases, please report immediately to info@genkyudo.com with details, including proof of purchase, the voucher code, and possibly a photo ID for verification. If deemed necessary, we may issue a replacement voucher for the same service, rendering the previous voucher void.
8.7 Genkyudo is not responsible for any loss or misuse of the voucher, including situations where:
- The voucher is obtained or used by the wrong person.
- The purchaser provides an incorrect email address.
- The voucher code is lost or stolen (unless this is due to Genkyudo’s fault).
8.8 Genkyudo reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
8.9 Subject to any rights under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act, all gift vouchers are sold on a non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-cancellable basis.
